An absolute legend of Portland’s entertainment landscape, Darcelle XV is owner and headliner of the Darcelle XV Showplace, recognized as the oldest continuously running cabaret in the United States. For more than 49 years, Darcelle has performed six shows a week, hosted countless fundraisers, performed dozens of wedding ceremonies, fed the homeless and mingled with the rich and famous. In 2008, Darcelle became the subject of the documentary film Queens of Heart: Community Therapists in Drag, which is available on Netflix. In 2009, with the help of author and director Sharon Knorr, Darcelle co-wrote and starred in the 90- minute, one-man show "Just Call Me Darcelle", chronicling his life from dirt poor beginnings in Linnton, Oregon to sequined celebrity. In August of 2016 she was inducted to the Guinness Book of World Records for being the Oldest Performing Drag Queen in the World. Born Walter Cole in 1930, the 86 year old Darcelle shows no signs of slowing. In September, she was featured with the Oregon Symphony, Thomas Lauderdale and Storm Large at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. An evening she calls an “absolute highlight of my career”. Roxy LeRoy "The name on everybody's lips is going to be Roxy"! Not "Roxy Hart" but "Roxy LeRoy", who was "born in a truck in the Princers Theatre in Pocatello, Idaho". He had a dance school in Utah for years and worked as a male dancer in Las Vegas. Upon relocating to Portland in 1967, he was instrumental in creating the Darcelle theatrical character and establishing the nightclub which is still hailed as the West Coast's most popular cabaret. Roxy LeRoy created the club's most popular productions such as "Macho Man" and "Applause". Summer SeasonsSummer Lynne Seasons has been entertaining audiences for over fifteen years. She is the currently the Vice President of the "Sweethearts of Portland" and has held the titles of Debutante XXXIV, Miss Gay Portland XXXV and Imperial Princess Royale XXXVIII. She can be found entertaining audiences all over the USA raising funds for countless charities. Her personal favorites are Camp Starlight, Pride of the Rose Scholarship Fund, and Audria m. Edwards Scholarship Fund. She has worked at Darcelle XV for over four years, where she currently is the show Coordinator & Assistant Costume Designer.
Alexis Campbell StarrAlexis Campbell Starr has counted it an honor to be a part of history for the past three years. Darcelle XV Showplace has had a direct impact on my life and has always hold a special place in my heart.” says Alexis. She is known for the work she does as a Public Health Worker by day and working it out at nightly at Darcelle XV Showplace. She has had a host of Pageant titles, local and International. Last year Alexis was used in the National CDC Campaign “Start Talking. Stop HIV.” Alexis also founded the Miss HIV Awareness Pageantry System. This Fundraiser pageant is in observance of World AIDS Day. In the near future she will hopefully go on to become a household name. Keep your eyes peeled and fingers crossed, we might see her on a season RuPaul’s Drag Race. She has been involved in the entertainment world for over 15 years, participating in multiple pageants in which she either place or was crowned.......La Femme Magnifique International , Miss North west, Miss Utopia Seattle justto mention some of the pageants. Bebe j is also producing her own Miss Queen Look Pagean system and is involved witrh many great causes in Oregon. Cassie NovaCassie Nova is a bright and shining star, just as her name suggests. Cassie began her career as a female impersonator in 2006. She began doing charity work with the Imperial Sovereign Rose Court holding such titles as Debutante, Miss Gay Portland and Princess. Cassie joined the cast of Darcelle XV to enhance her career and take on the challenge of being a professional showgirl at the longest running female impersonator show in the world. After gaining valuable stage experience Cassie returned to the Rose Court to become Rose Empress 54 and to lead the organization in its fundraising efforts for the community. After a very successful year as Rose Empress, Cassie returned to the stage at Darcelle XV. Cassie is always a crowd favorite bringing a vivacious and energetic character to life each night. Cassie has a unique ability to make a personal connection with each and every audience member. Her numbers are guaranteed to bring a fast paced, positive energy that will leave you wanting to dance in the aisle and smiling ear to ear.
